How to do it
- Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat, about hip-width apart.
- Place your arms by your sides, palms down.
- Brace your core and press through your heels to lift your hips.
- Squeeze your glutes at the top so your body forms a straight line from shoulders to knees.
- Hold for 1–2 seconds, then lower slowly.
Coaching tips
- Tuck your ribs down so you don't arch your lower back.
- Progress to single-leg bridges when 20 reps feel easy.
Common mistakes
- Over-arching the lower back at the top.
- Pushing through the toes instead of the heels.
